Audio Invitation - Become Involved!
Your association runs on the time and effort of many members who step up to serve on a committee. There are both general and event-specific committees with varying degrees of commitment - something sure to fit in your busy schedule. 2016 SAR President Susie Luby (pictured at left) offers a Become Involved flyer (pictured above), which details the committees available under her administration and provides a vehicle through which you can sign up. Call for Action Victory!
VICTORY!
REALTORS ® saw a Call for Action victory, last week, when Congress approved a $305 billion transportation bill that did not include funding from an extension of mortgage guarantee fees. 2015 SAR President Jack Kestell (pictured at left) thanks all members who responded and reports that Spokane had the highest response rate among large associations in Washington state, about 25%. More than a fifth of REALTORS® across the country, or about 197,000 members, participated in a Call for Action that NAR launched in October to prevent Congress from using g-fees at the expense of future home owners. Some 600,000 letters in all were sent in what was REALTORS®' most forceful response to a Call for Action. Read more in REALTOR ® magazine, online here.
