Greetings! 

Another Earth Day has come and gone, but let's make every day Earth Day! As we emerge from April, we continue our theme of Care for God's Creation. We seek not only peace on earth, but with earth!

 

"Discovering Active Hope"  offers 10 creative ways to respond to worries concerning climate change, energy and economy. Guest writer Mary Ann Holtz provides many new ideas for self-care, living in harmony with nature, and changing your habits as a consumer.

 

"Harvesting Justice" is a challenging new book about the food sovereignty movement, and our book discussion guide will whet your appetite to download it (it's free) and explore more.

 

Our backgrounder on Catholic Social Tradition regarding climate change includes recent insights from our new pope.

 

Our newest prayer offers perspectives on the signs of our times, including ongoing poverty and militarism along with the recent nuclear threats and terrorist tragedy. It complements our backgrounder regarding current nuclear tensions with North Korea. As the prayer concludes, "Bless our feet that we may walk the road to justice."
