Personnel Committee Update: Staff Restructuring

In the first business meeting of 2016, the Personnel Committee brought an update on staff restructuring that has been in the works for almost three years. Griff Servati, who has served faithfully as FBCVA's Student Pastor for 20 years, will be transitioning to the role of Associate Pastor. His new responsibilities will include assimilation, discipleship, and missions.
Additionally, the Personnel Committee reported that a new Student Pastor will be coming in view of a call on Sunday, March 20th.

New Gun Law Clarification
|
|
In light of the new gun laws that allow for "conceal carry" license holders to "open carry", the Operations Committee brought a motion that "open carry" NOT BE PERMITTED on church property. The motion was approved and proper steps will be taken to make certain that this policy is followed.

Pastor Mike will be continuing his sermon series, The Architect, this Sunday, focusing on God's design for families. This week's message is titled, Decorating the Home with Virtue
Come at 8:30 am or 11:00 am for worship and an encouraging message from God's Word.
| Family Life Live is this Sunday at 6:00 pm! We will begin in the worship center with a "talk show" hosted by Pastor Mike and featuring musical guests, Blake and Jenna Bolerjack and pianist Zach Sutton. We will end the evening with a time of food and fellowship in the FLC.
