"GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays" is a biblically-based nondenominational seminar that is helpful and encouraging for those facing the holidays after a loved one's death. "Surviving the Holidays" is not part of the 13 week GriefShare program, but it is a one-time seminar designed specifically to deal with the up-coming Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.
This free seminar will be held on Wednesday morning, November 26, at 9:30 A.M. in the FBCVA portables. Please invite your relatives, friends, and neighbors who might need this seminar to come. All are welcome. Free child care will be provided.
The seminar features practical suggestions and reassurance through video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and other people who have experienced the holidays after their loved one's death. Topics to be discussed include "Why the Holidays Are Tough," "What to Expect," "How to Prepare," "How to Manage Relationships and Holiday Socials" and "Using the Holidays to Help You Heal."
Those who attend will receive a free book with over 30 daily readings providing additional insights and ideas on holiday survival.
