Van Alstyne Great Days of Service 2014
Great Days of Service 2014 will be Friday, October 10, and Saturday, October 11.

Van Alstyne Great Days of Service is a non-profit service organization formed by the Van Alstyne Ministerial Alliance in 2000 and is dedicated to assisting those who may be physically or financially unable to provide needed minor home repairs or improvements. This is a cooperative effort among churches, businesses, service organizations and community volunteers. Every year since 2000, volunteers from our community and partner churches have worked side by side to help their neighbors. Civic organizations and businesses in our community support this effort both financially and by supplying volunteer workers.

Don't forget the free vehicle inspection for senior adults and single ladies Saturday, October 4, 2014, at First United Methodist Church, the FBCVA Men's Ministry will be providing a FREE 25-point overall inspection of your vehicle. We will top-off all fluid levels and inspect the condition of belts, hoses, tires, lights, etc. Each vehicle inspection takes about 15 minutes, and is designed to let you know that you might have a potential problem. We will not be able to actually fix your vehicle.  The Cowboy Church, Elmont Baptist, First Christian, and FUMC of VA are joining us for this workday.

FBCVA Night at the Dallas Maverics

Order your tickes and mark your calendars now for FBCVA Night at the Dallas Mavs, Tuesday, December 30th.  Tickets will be $15.00 per person and money will be due by Wednesday, October 15th.  For more information or to order tickets, please contact Griff, Kelly Crowell or the church office and reference Mavs game.  If we reach 100, the Mavs will give us a special fan experience at the game!  We hope to see you there!
