Easter Celebration at VAMS

Don't forget the Easter Celebration this Sunday at the Van Alstyne Middle School. FBCVA and Elmont Baptist Church are joining together to celebrate this special day.

We will have a BIG Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. And the kids won't want to miss KidsChurch where Leonard and Mango experience Eggapocalypse and learn the true meaning of Easter with help from some friends.

The Worship service featuring ministry teams from Elmont and FBCVA leading in celebration of the risen king. The message titled "The Proof and Purpose of the Resurrection" will answer questions and instill hope in what we celebrate on this day.

We hope that you will join us, as we join together, on this special day!

All activities will be at VAMS

9:30 a.m. - Fellowship Time and Check-in

9:45 a.m. - Egg Hunt at the Middle School Track

10:45 a.m. - Kids Church with Puppet Presentation in the VAMS Cafetorium

10:45 a.m. - Worship Service at the VAMS Main Gym.

(Nursery available for infants and toddlers)

On Friday, April 18, at 7:00pm we will have a Good Friday service remembering Jesus' sacrifice for us on the cross. This will be a worship service featuring choral anthems, congregational singing, and the spoken word, all preparing us to receive the Lord's Supper. Come remember the body that was broken and the blood that was shed, all for you.

In a special called business meeting on April 13, 2014, First Baptist Church of Van Alstyne voted unanimously to call Mike Lovely as Senior Pastor. The final count was: 228 votes cast, 228 yes votes, 0 no votes! We give God all the glory for how He has led us through this process and prepared us all for the man that He had chosen. Please continue to be in prayer for Bro. Mike and his family as they go through this time of transition. And, continue to pray for FBCVA as God leads us forward into the next part of the journey.
