Community Thanksgiving Service this Evening
Elmont Baptist Church will be hosting this year's Community Thanksgiving Worship Service this evening at 6. The Ministerial Alliance sponsors this annual event. It is a great time for the Van Alstyne area congregations to come together and praise our Heavenly Father for the blessings He has given us. During the service an offering is taken that supports the many needs that come to the VAMA during the year. Almost weekly there are people needing a helping hand. We are so thankful that the VAMA can meet these needs because of the generous hearts of the people in VA. Funds do run low at times, so anything that can be offered in support will be very much appreciated! If giving by check, please make the check out to the Van Alstyne Ministerial Alliance or VAMA. We are looking forward to this great time of community fellowship.
Operation Christmas Child
It's time for Operation Christmas Child to start again. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world and to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Mission Dell City-November 2013
While serving on the Mission El Paso trip this summer we discovered a need to replace a roof for the Hispanic mission work in Dell City, Texas. We have been gathering funds and have secured donations from a truss plant in El Paso. We are still accepting donations towards this project and can add individuals to serve on the project. We have two planned departures to fit the schedules of those going. One group will be leaving in the afternoon on Friday, Nov 22, and another in the morning of Saturday, Nov 23rd. Planned return on the morning of Wednesday, 27th. For more details speak to Griff or Russell Moore. To make a donation use an offering envelope and designate 'Dell City Roof'.
