Children's Ministry Meeting
Following the morning service on this Sunday we will have a luncheon/meeting concerning the upcoming year for the Children's Ministry. We are inviting those in leadership positions in the Kid's Ministry and others wanting to be involved to attend. We understand that it is the day before school starts, so we promise to make good use of your time!

Launch 2013
Bring your family and friends to our Fall Launch 2013 event at the Collin County Adventure Camp on September 8. Enjoy lunch at the campground following our normal Sunday morning services at FBCVA, then stay for outdoor activities including swimming, climbing and archery. We will also have games and fun indoors for a break from the heat. Come and enjoy this time of fellowship together.
Preschool Sunday Ministry
We are restructuring the Preschool Sunday Ministry for the fall and would love for you to be a part of it! Beginning September 1, we will have Bible Buddies during the first hour and Wee Worship during the second hour. There will be opportunities to teach or sub on a monthly basis. Church Softball Team
Softball teams are forming for the Fall Church League. We will be playing on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm and/or 8:30 pm beginning this week, August 27. There's still time to get on the roster. If you are interested in playing contact Jan Dunkerson at 972 529.4754.
Women's Ministry Bible Study
Calling ALL ladies!!! The Women's Ministry will be offering 'One in a Million', from Priscilla Shirer, this fall. The study will begin Wednesday, September 4, 9:30-11:30 am. Childcare will be provided, Please contact Dacia Hatch or Sarah Coleman with questions, 214 868.3535. Hope you can join us!
Pastor Search Committee
The process of narrowing the field of candidates is moving along. Please continue to pray for discernment as we seek the man God has chosen for FBCVA. The members of our Pastor Search Committee are: Dennis Smith, John Williamson, Mike Singleton, Jack Washington, Sue Dowdy, Russell Moore and Elizabeth Smith. Alternates are: Randall Morgan and Troy Weber.
