Pastor Search Update: Did you know that it has been exactly one year since Brother Jimmy announced his retirement to the church on Feb 19, 2012 (effective in June). For the past weeks, the PSC focus has transitioned from processes to individuals. This focus has made it difficult to be able to openly share details related to our activity. While this causes some frustration for all, the importance of confidentiality for the individuals involved cannot be overlooked.
Please continue to be patient and prayerful as we seek God's man for FBCVA. The members of our Pastor Search Committee are: Dennis Smith, John Williamson, Mike Singleton, Jack Washington, Sue Dowdy, Russell Moore and Elizabeth Smith. Alternates are: Randall Morgan and Troy Weber.

Ministry to our Widow's and Single Mothers. Had a great Launch event with our Valentine Breakfast, see pictures from event Click here. The Men's Ministry is looking for anyone interested in helping with a widows/single ladies ministry. This ministry would involve small work projects around these ladies' residences that they need or would like to have done. These workdays would be on a quarterly or an as-needed basis. Student Ministry Planning/Info Lunch Dnow, SummerCamp and Mission Trips coming soon!
The Planning Luncheon will be Sunday, February 24, following the Morning Service. Lunch for the family will be available and then there will be a time to focus on DNow, Camp, and Mission El Paso. Please contact Griff at griff@fbcva.com with how many family members will be eating with us.

Launching a New Bible Study for Young Adults Meeting Twice a month on Saturdays at 8pm.
'Deeper' a local young adult Bible Study is now forming. We plan to meet twice a month on Saturday nights. Contact Griff Servati or Dennis Smith about the group. We will be starting on Saturday, February 23, 8pm at the FLC (Family Life Center).

 Open House current message series this Sunday our current message series, by Interim Pastor Joe Lightner. This message series will take an open look into the houses of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. As we study these families we will see areas that will make our families stronger by following their example or by learning from their mistakes.
