Good morning, beloved.
My email late yesterday was certainly passionate, but in the light of day, perhaps a bit unclear. I usually let my messages simmer overnight before hitting "send," but in this case, I wanted to reach out to you before the long holiday weekend.
Being cognizant of such things as the timing of an e-blast, what would you call that? Oh, I know...marketing.
"Marketing" is not the culprit; manipulation is. I didn't make that distinction, and I should have. There's a vast difference between treating people the way you want to be treated, and treating people so they'll do what you want.
We are called to tell, not to sell.
Wrestling through all this, God showed me that my grief over the manipulative tactics of a few has affected me more than I realized. And I suspect that tainted perspective colorized yesterday's email. Please forgive me.
Ever thankful for God's mercy, I need to give Him my excess baggage. There's too much at stake.
Thank you for your attention...
