Dear ISD Parents/Guardians,
The first day of school was great! In fact, it seemed to be one of the smoothest "first days" I have experienced. I owe that to a hard-working and dedicated staff, who made sure the building looked great, teaching materials were delivered, information was distributed, and students were met with enthusiasm and excitement. I am looking forward to a great year. We also had many visitors from central office, including Dr. Sal Corda, Interim Superintendent; Mrs. Jennifer Dayton, Board of Education member; Ms. Mary Forde, PPS Director; Mr. Bob Stacy, HR Director; Ms. Antoinette Fornshell, Humanities Director; and Ms. Laura Smith, Art and Music Coordinator. They especially enjoyed visiting the school on the first day of a new school year. It was also gratifying to see so many of you socializing in the cafe after dropping your children off at their new class. Thank you to those who were able to stay, meet with "old" friends and perhaps, make some new friends. However, the very best part of the day was seeing your children excited about coming back to school. More information to come next week! Have a great Labor Day Weekend!
Sincerely,
Terry Ricci
ISD Principal

On behalf of the PTA Executive Board, we would like to welcome everyone to the start of another exciting school year at ISD. We are especially pleased to welcome all of our new families and students. We hope you will soon find ISD to be a great place to grow, learn and make new friends.
The goal of the ISD PTA is to enrich the school experience of every student while supporting our teachers and fostering a special community for our families. We are a 100% volunteer organization and funded completely by the generosity of our families. We invite your family to learn about the many benefits of becoming a member in the 2016-17 school year and volunteer with us in any way that works for you. Whatever your interest, special skill or available time, there is always something you can do to get involved and make a positive impact in the ISD community.
We are looking forward to a great start to the school year!

For the safety of all students, please remember the following when dropping off children in the front circle:
- All children should exit independently from the passenger side of the car
- Children may exit in the green cone zone only
- Parking spaces in the front circle are not permitted for use during drop off and pick up
- Drivers must remain in their cars at all times
If children need assistance, please park your car on the street and walk them to the building. This ensures the flow of traffic.
