Dear ISD Parents,

I hope all of you have a great Spring break. Typically, after we return from spring break, we find the days even more jam-packed as the end of the year is in sight.  On that note, here are some important dates that you will want to note for your personal calendars.

Last day of school - Thursday, June 18th

We had four snow days and barring any unusual circumstances, weather related or not, students will finish on this date.  Traditionally, the last day of school has been an early dismissal day but as of this writing, I have not heard that officially.

Moving Up Ceremony for fifth graders - Wednesday, June 17th

We like to send our fifth graders off with an official ceremony as they move on to middle school.  This is scheduled for 1:00 on June 17th.  Each fifth grader may invite up to 3 guests only, so as to not exceed capacity requirements in the media center.

Field Day - Monday, June 8th     (Rain date:  Wednesday, June 10th)

Our students look forward to this day with so much enthusiasm and zeal.  This all-school event is scheduled for Monday and if it is raining, we will go with our rain date.  More details to come.

Gr. 5 Overnight Boston trip - Thursday, May 7th and Friday, May 8th

Fifth graders will be traveling to Boston on Thursday, spending the night in the Boston Children's Museum and returning on Friday at around 3:30.  More details to come.

I hope this information helps with your planning.

Sincerely,

Terry Ricci
