Dear ISD Parents/Guardians:

 

Please join the staff and me on Thursday evening, October 2nd, for our annual Open House. Teachers are preparing to bring you an informative evening that will help you support your child's education. Below is the schedule for classroom visits, as well as a time period to visit the specialists. Each classroom session will include a presentation that will include information related to the GPS curriculum, IB PYP and other matters related to the 2014-15 school year. In addition to the classroom visits, we also provided you time to meet with support and special area teachers who are vital to the school's overall program. You will also have an opportunity to sign up for your fall conference.

 

SCHEDULE

                     Psychologist, Spanish, Resource Room and Speech in their classrooms or offices.

 

8:00 - 8:45     Classroom Visits for 2nd and 5th

FAMILY FUN RUN 

(8:45am - 10am) -- LAST CALL! Don't miss the family fun! You can still register on Race Day starting at 8:30am, with grade-level races: Grades 4 and 5 at 9am; Grades 2 and 3 at 9:20am; and K and First Grade at 9:40am. Finisher prizes for all participants, plus awesome race day raffle prizes. Race day registration costs $15 per person.

TAG SALE 

(10am - 11am, ISD only; 11am - 4pm open to the public) Donations will be accepted TODAY, Friday, September 26, until 7pm. In addition to gently used items for resale, we need supplies like hangers, plastic bins, coat racks, shopping bags, etc.

BAKE SALE 

(9am - 4pm) Drop off your baked good donations at the Bake Sale table, located outside of the ISD Gym, on Saturday, 8am-1pm. Register online to help staff the bake sale on Saturday! Contact traeluh@gmail.com with questions

PLAYGROUND SITE WORK IS BEGINNING!

 

new playground 2 We are excited to share that the prep work on the playground area will begin on Monday.  

 

The playground area will need to be closed during this time. We will continue to update the community throughout this process.  


 
We would like to thank the numerous town departments that have come together to help us make a better a playground for our children.

Members who have contributed $20 or more will receive a directory at Open House. PTA volunteers will be available to accept your membership registration the night of Open House as well. First grade families who have already joined the PTA:  Your directories will be sent home with your children.

Every two weeks through mid-October we will be holding a raffle and if you've made a donation, your name will automatically be entered into each raffle. The winner will receive a Vineyard Vines bag filled with ISD swag such as t-shirts and other gear, mugs and water bottles and other great stuff. Please check back next Friday for the third winner, and remember to make your donation now.

 

Your contribution directly funds important enrichment activities, cultural partnerships, staff support, events, scholarships, and technology purchases that benefit the entire ISD community. As always, thank you for your continued commitment to the International School at Dundee PTA.

Awesome Tree Contest Deadline

It's time for the Greenwich Tree Conservancy's fifth Awesome Tree Contest! You don't have to be a professional photographer, just someone who is wowed by a particular tree. Download the Entry Form & Flyer.
