There are no big announcements or news items from me this week. The staff and I have been working on next year's Strategic Plan and budget. We still have a ways to go, but it seems to be falling into place.
It's never too early to invite you to the Annual Dinner. Please hold Wednesday October 28 for the DCVB annual meeting and dinner. More details in the coming newsletters, but please hold that date.
I know Phil is posting information on the Fall Tourism Conference in the membership area. If you haven't gone to this conference it's generally about 200+ attendees and some good relevant tourism information. The conference is November 5 & 6 in Oshkosh this year. We hope to see some of you there.
The supplemental Winter Guide is printed and a big thanks to the marketing department for getting this completed by September 1st this year to reach our goal. This gives many Fall visitors the opportunity to pick one up and see that Door County is open during the Winter so they can hopefully return. You should start seeing them around the county in the next week or so.
Thank you all for a great season so far.
Best Regards,
Jack Moneypenny, President/CEO
