Happy New Year from the NHA!

A Note from NHA Gosnell Executive Director William Tramposch

Call him Blankie...
We met on my way into the office following that wild Nantucket night of horizontal rain and frightful winds. By his sogginess, I know that he spent the night in that mess, huddled up against the cold iron of a park bench near our Whaling Museum door. Was he left behind as his family rushed to catch the last ferry to "America?"
There is slight consolation in the fact that he is now dry, but still he is far from home, his head now leaning sadly against my office printer. Frankly, Blankie is breaking my heart!
Please, if you own this little guy, let us know. Had he been left a week earlier at least we could have welcomed him into Gosnell Hall for our last school sleepover of the year ("Night Watch"); at least then he could have slept amongst scores of giggling 4th graders all cozied-in for the night under our huge sperm whale.
If the family of the understandably sad owner of Blankie are among those reading this, please let us know. Blankie wants home for the new year!
