TROOP 224 HAS THE PERFECT TREE FOR YOU!

Visit and support local Boy Scout Troop 224's tree lot this holiday season. Located next to the Lafayette Community Gardens on Mt. Diablo Boulevard, between the Reservoir and Oakwood Athletic Club. A Lafayette tradition since 1958, the Tree Lot opened on Black Friday and is now open daily from 9am to 9pm until they sell out. Our Boy Scouts are eager to help you select the perfect fresh cut tree. Choose from Noble Fir, Grand Fir, Douglas Fir and Nordmann. Delivery available in Lamorinda for a nominal fee (free to seniors). Holiday decor and garland also available for purchase. Enjoy a complimentary cup of hot chocolate and a candy cane while you shop and be sure to "like us" on Facebook.

Moraga Art Gallery hosts "Beauty Near and Far"
Now through January 7, Rheem Shopping Center

The Moraga Art Gallery  announces "Beauty Near and Far,"  a new exhibit featuring oil landscapes by Walnut Creek artist Kerima Swain, whose vibrant colors and sun-dappled landscapes transport viewers to sites around the world from St. Mary's College and the Golden Gate to the Greek isle of Hydra and beyond.  Also featured is a boldly-hued collection of pit and saggar-fired ceramics by guest artist Lesley Jensen, whose one-of-a-kind vessels reflect the influence of ancient Greek, Minoan, Hittite and Native American cultures. The show, which includes a wide variety of work by the gallery's 15 member artists and several guest artists, is now in progress and runs until January 7.  The gallery is located in the Rheem Shopping Center, at 522 Center Street, Moraga. Announcing New Exhibit "People, Places and Things"!

Lamorinda Arts Alliance is proud to announce a new show at the Orinda Library, "People, Places and Things," opening December 3. This show represents all media and many styles from realism to abstraction.  Many of the paintings and photographs are scenes that will be familiar to Bay Area residents. Reception will be December 4 from 2pm to 4pm. Join us, chat with the artists and partake in appetizers and beverages while you enjoy fifty plus pieces of artwork.  The show will run through January 2.
