Moraga Art Gallery hosts "Beauty Near and Far" Now through January 7, Rheem Shopping Center
The Moraga Art Gallery announces "Beauty Near and Far," a new exhibit featuring oil landscapes by Walnut Creek artist Kerima Swain, whose vibrant colors and sun-dappled landscapes transport viewers to sites around the world from St. Mary's College and the Golden Gate to the Greek isle of Hydra and beyond. Also featured is a boldly-hued collection of pit and saggar-fired ceramics by guest artist Lesley Jensen, whose one-of-a-kind vessels reflect the influence of ancient Greek, Minoan, Hittite and Native American cultures. The show, which includes a wide variety of work by the gallery's 15 member artists and several guest artists, is now in progress and runs until January 7th. The gallery is located in the Rheem Shopping Center, at 522 Center Street, Moraga. Through November, hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. Extended December hours are from 10:00 to 6:00 daily.
