Tuesday, February 2 - Public Meeting - Downtown Creek Restoration, Preservation and Development Plan -  Lafayette Library and Learning Center
The City of Lafayette is providing another formal opportunity for the residents and businesses to comment on their Downtown Creeks Plan. A community workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, February 2, beginning at 7pm at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center Community Hall. Join Les Schmidt, Director of JFK University's Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership (IEL) and IEL Associate Director Dina Finta to learn how the IEL's Advanced Certificate in Entrepreneurship can provide the tools and support to help you launch or grow your business. The kick-off event of the Lamorinda Business Forum (formerly Entrepreneur's Club) will be held Thursday, February 18 (changed from February 11), 5:30pm-7:00pm, at the Bank of the West, 3583 Mt. Diablo Blvd.  Our featured speaker is Attorney Asha Wilkerson and her topic is "Small Business Law - What You Need to Know".
 
February 27-March 19 - Town Hall Theatre presents ANGELS IN AMERICA: PERESTROIKA
The second and final part of Tony Kushner's epic masterpiece comes to an end.  This Pulitzer Prize-winning drama continues the story begun with Millennium Approaches: the lives of Reagan-ear New Yorkers is turned upside-down as they face revelations about themselves and what it means to be an American at the dawn of the Second Millennium. Rated R. Town Hall Theatre is located at 3535 School St., Lafayette. What's Happening at the Lafayette Library & Learning Center
Monday, February 1 - 29 - Geocaching Adventure - All Day, Every Day in February - Library Open Space. Take part in our great Geocaching Adventure! We will hide multiple caches throughout the City of Lafayette. Find them all to be entered into a raffle to win various prizes such as gift cards and books. Pick up your geocaching log at the Information Desk. Designed for: Middle School (Grades 6-8), High School (Grades 9-12), Teens (12-17).

Friday, February 05 - Distinguished Speaker Series: Joe Loya Jr. In Conversation with His Father Joe Loya Sr.
Distinguished Speaker Series welcomes Joe Loya Jr. In Conversation with his father Joe Loya Sr. Join the two at the Lafayette Library as they discuss what led to the disintegration of their family, and their decision to take the journey back together to rebuild their relationship. 7pm-9pm at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center Community Hall.
