Diablo Vista PP Construction Update
Construction on the New Diablo Vista Pumping Plant at Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Mt. Diablo Court in Lafayette is under way.  We are currently preparing to replace the storm drain that runs through the new pumping plant site.  There will be temporary right lane closures for east bound traffic on Mt. Diablo Blvd. to accommodate this work.

In response to neighborhood concerns we have removed fencing from the corner of the construction fence for better line of sight.  We have added a pedestrian walkway between the orange barriers and the temporary construction fence on the east bound traffic side of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and we have added signage to warn motorists to slow down.  With the City's encouragement, we are also in the process of having the speed limit in the construction area lowered to 25 MPH and the Lafayette Police will be providing enforcement.  The speed limit change will be in affect when the new speed limit signs are installed.

Due to the nature of the construction and limited size of the site, parking on Mt. Diablo Ct. and along Mt Diablo Blvd. is and will continue to be impacted by this construction. Please allow extra time when travelling to this area to look for parking.

Thank you for your patience as EBMUD works to improve our water system.
