Join us for a  Ribbon Cutting at the new Lafayette Bistro Burger & Grill at 5:00pm on Thursday, November 19. Bistro Burger & Grill is located at 965 Mountain View Drive across from Trader Joes.

Thursday, November 19 - Young Professionals Group Meetup

The Young Professional Group is meet on Thursday, November 19 from 5:30-7:00pm at the Chamber Conference Room. Lori Rehn, CPBC will give a presentation entitled "Goal Setting & Marketing: A Multi Million Dollar Perspective". Lori Rehn is the Founder and President of Core Business Development, Inc. a business strategy, coaching and training company located in the Bay Area. Our 37th Annual Community Thanksgiving Breakfast will take place on Friday,
November 20 at 7:00am at Our Saviors Lutheran Church located at 1035 Carol Lane. Our speaker this year is Rev. Dr. David G. Sammons and his topic is "Your Resume vs. Your Eulogy". Sunday, November 22 - Hospice Moraga & Lafayette Tree Lighting Ceremony - 5:30 pm - Moraga Country Club

Hospice Tree The Hospice Moraga & Lafayette Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 22 at 5:30pm at the Moraga Country Club, 1600 St. Andrews Drive. Reception to follow. Dedicated to Harold Whitbeck. Please note the Lafayette Tree in the Roundup Saloon Parking Lot will be lit during the season without ceremony. The memorial names for Lafayette will be read at the ceremony in Moraga. For more information on the Tree of Lights click here.

Tuesday, November 17 - Science Cafe: Is Anybody Out There? -  7:00 PM - 8:30 PM - Community Hall.What is the possibility of other life in the universe and can we detect radio and optical signals from other civilizations? Berkeley's SETI@home project analyzes data from the world's largest radio telescope using desktop computers from millions of volunteers. The Euro is in trouble and is facing challenges across the Continent from Greece to France. The real issue, however, is not money but political structure where there is no government effectively in control. For more information click here.

Sunday, November 22 - Lafayette: Then and Now in Photographs - 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM - Community Hall. The Lafayette Historical Society has photos dating back to the 19th Century. Steve Hobbs is currently working on a new publication that will combine those photos and his current photography.  (Your donation supports the work of the Lafayette Historical Society and the ability to offer knowledgeable presenters who speak on local history and subjects.)  For more information click here.
