Friday, October 30 - Trick or Treat Street |

 Our 3rd annual Trick or Treat Street will be held on Friday, October 30 from 4pm-6pm in Downtown Lafayette on Mt. Diablo Blvd. from 1st Street to Happy Valley Road and La Fiesta Square, Lafayette Circle and Plaza Center. Look for a Trick or Treat Street Participating Merchant Sign and balloons at the door of participating Trick or Treat Street merchants. |

 The 2nd Annual LCF Garage Tour will be held on Sunday, November 1 from 12 pm - 4 pm. Tour starts as Blodgett's Abbey Carpet & Flooring, 3291 Mt. Diablo Blvd. Tickets are required for all tour guests. Registration starts at 11:30 am. Tired of that boring, cluttered old garage? Mark your calendar and check out how some of your fellow Lafayette residents solved that problem. Wednesday, October 28 - Distinguished Speaker Series: Cristina Garcia - 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM - Community Hall. The Lafayette Library and Learning Center in partnership with Saint Mary's College MFA in Creative Writing welcomes author Cristina Garcia to the Library's Distinguished Speaker Series. Cristina Garcia is the author of six novels including Dreaming in Cuban, The Lady Matador's Hotel, and The Aguero Sisters. The King of Cuba is a darkly comic novel featuring a fictionalized Fidel Castro, an octogenarian Miami exile, and a rabble of Cuban voices. For more information click here.

Friday, October 30 - Gold Coast welcomes the Amati Ensemble - 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM - Community Hall. The Gold Coast Chamber Players perform the music of Mozart and Mendelssohn in Prodigies, which features Gil Sharon and Rebecca Jackson on violin, Ron Ephrat and Pamela Freund on violas, and Jennifer Culp (formerly of the Kronos Quartet)on cello. This will be the third Gold Coast appearance of Gil Sharon and Ron Ephrat, members of the Netherlands-based Amati Ensemble. For more information click here.
