Tonight - Monday, August 10 - City Council Meeting -  7:00pm - Lafayette Library and Learning Center

At tonight's meeting the council will review the draft ordinance, resolutions and conditions of approval for the Homes at Deerhill.  At the last council meeting a 4-0 vote was taken and staff was asked to prepare the draft ordinance. A special session for the council took place this last Saturday.  At tonight's meeting city staff and council will address outstanding questions/ issues from prior meetings, have further deliberation and introduce the resolution and ordinance taking action on the project.  Staff's recommendation is to adopt resolutions 2015-50 and 2015-51, introduce Ordinance 841 and continue the mater to September 14, 2015 for a second reading and adoption.  You can find the agenda for tonight's meeting on the city's website www.ci.lafayette.ca.us.
Tuesday, August 11 - Self Defense - Personal Safety Workshop - Oakwood Athletic Club

 

Learn the simple, but effective skills to defend yourself. Instructors from the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office and the Lafayette Police Department will be on hand.  This event is being sponsored by Assemblywoman Catharine Baker, The Office of the Sheriff and Oakwood Athletic Club. The program runs from 4pm-6pm on Tuesday, August 11. Oakwood Athletic Club, 4000 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Lafayette. For more information or to RSVP please call 925-328-1515.
