Saturday, August 8 - Special Meeting - City Council Advances Plan for Homes at Deer Hill

City of Lafayette logoAfter hearing two hours of both positive and negative comments from more than 30 residents, last Monday night the City Council took another step toward greenlighting the proposal for forty-four single family homes along Deer Hill Road near Acalanes High School by directing staff to prepare the paperwork required for approval.  The Council will hear the matter again at an August 8 Saturday workshop in the Community Room at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center from 9am -1pm and is expected to make a final decision at its regular meeting on August 10th.  If approved, the project will replace a plan for 315 moderate income apartments with, instead, a single family home community that includes a multiuse sports field, tot lot, off-site dog park and other public amenities.  If you would like to get a message to our City Council members about this upcoming vote, please email to cityhall@lovelafayette.org.
