Today's EBMUD Pipeline Project/Lafayette Circle
Update

Last week a crew worked at the corner of Mt. Diablo and Lafayette Circle removing the pavers in the crosswalk (from Round Up to Starbucks).  They cleaned up the patches in the road and poured the concrete slab that will sit under the crosswalk.  That takes a minimum of 7 days to "cure."  They will come back (date unknown) to complete that job.  The road repairs and curb cuts have all been completed from Mt. Diablo, down Lafayette Circle and also on Hough down to Brook.  This coming Friday and Saturday, Moraga Rd. will have "flaggers" directing traffic north and south near the Brook intersection.  This work will be completed this week.  No word yet on when the "gate valve" will be replaced up by Misto Lino/ Bank of the West.

Thursday, July 23 - Senior Scam Stopper

Join Assemblywoman Catharine Baker and the Contractors State License Board on Thursday, July 23 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm for a Senior Scam Stopper seminar. Learn how to protect yourself.  Seniors, their families, and caregivers are welcome to attend this free seminar. Friday, July 24 - Coffee with the Mayor - 8:00am

Please join us as we chat with Mayor Barndt Andersson on Friday, July 24 at 8:00am. The City Council reviewed the "Community Conversation" at their meeting last week and all agreed on what they and the public think are the most important projects for the community to work on. Open Space, more parking and more police protection are all priorities, but where is the "funding source" to tackle these issues. Also up for discussion will be the final City Council meetings for the Homes at Deerhill project.  Madame Catherine (French For Fun) just returned from Langeac/ Chavaniac, France (our Sister City and the home to the Marquis de la Fayette).  She will tell us about her visit. Everyone is welcome to attend.  We serve coffee and a light breakfast.  Please park on the street.
