Today's EBMUD Pipeline Project/Lafayette Circle Update

Today - Monday,  May 4 - Most of the work on installing the new water main was completed last week. There will still be a little work to do in the crosswalk between Starbucks and the Round Up. Beginning at 6:00am today the crew began doing the connections to the restaurants from Cooperage down to American Kitchen. Those should be completed by Wednesday. After the restaurants are done, the crew will move around and begin the transfers of service to some of the residential units. This of course is all contingent on passing the "chlorination" tests on the new line. Questions? Please contact Matt Luttropp, Senior Engineer, City of Lafayette, Ph. 925.299.3247 Fx. 925.284.3169, mluttropp@ci.lafayette.ca.us or Stan Polite, EBMUD Project Manager, spolite@ebmud.com, (510) 774-6266.

Leading into Mother's Day weekend we want to encourage everyone to go spend a few bucks at the businesses along Lafayette Circle, Fiesta Lane and in La Fiesta Square. They could use a little love. It has been a difficult time for these folks to take care of their customers. We might be over some of the real impactful detours and delays, but understand there will still be "flagmen" helping direct traffic.
