Thurday nights - Lafayette Thursday Night Fun Run

Every Thursday night at 6:00pm, Bay Sotheby's International Realty invites runners, walkers, triathletes and fitness enthusiasts of all size, shapes, ages, abilities, skills and speeds for a weekly gathering celebrating running, walking and fitness. Now through May 2 - Lafayette Art Gallery's exhibit "Trending"
The Lafayette Art Gallery's exhibit "Trending" continues through May 2. A exhibit of all-new paintings, ceramics, glass pieces and jewelry reflects the most up-to- date themes and trends of out fast-paced, ever-changing environment, as interpreted in the new works by our talented stable of artists. Their is a reception on Friday, April 10 from 5pm-7pm. The gallery is located at The Forge, 3420 Mt. Diablo Blvd. and is open Tues-Sat. - 11 AM - 5 PM; Sundays 11 - 2 PM. March 28 through April 25 - Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery presents Lin Fischer, Landscapes & Figures

April 4 - Bunny Brunch
Lafayette Community Center Foundation's Bunny Brunch will be held on Saturday, April 4 from 11:00am-12:30pm at the Lafayette Community Center Live Oak Room. Tickets: $8 per person by 4/3, $10 per person on day of event (unless sold out). Online tickets sales accepted until Friday 4/3 at www.LafayetteRec.org. For more information call 284-2232.

April 4 - Lafayette Rotary Club's Candy Scramble
Lafayette Rotary Club's "Annual Candy Scramble." This event is open to all children ages 2-through 3rd grade. The event takes place at Lafayette Plaza (corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Moraga Rd.) in Lafayette, at 10:00am, Saturday, April 4. The park lawn will be covered with candy for the kids to put in their baskets. The youngest are always given extra time to get their share! The Bunny will be there to take pictures with the kids. Please arrive on time. We start promptly at 10:00am. Join us for the fun.

April 5, 12, 19 & 26 - Weekly Family Bike Ride
On Sunday, April 5, 12, 19 & 26 from 9am-11:30am join other local families for a fun, casual bike ride to Moraga Commons and back. The ride is recommended for 7 years and up but bring the little ones in a trailer or on your bike. They'll have fun playing at the Commons. We're usually back at Stanley by 11:15. Snacks and water are encouraged. Meet on the Lafayette-Moraga Trail at Stanley Middle School.

April 11 - Dogtown Downtown
Dogtown Downtown will be held on Saturday, April 11 from 10am to 1pm (rain or shine) in downtown Lafayette at the Lafayette Library & Learning Center. The event starts at 10am with a doggie parade from Plaza Park down Golden Gate Way to the Library Plaza. At the Library Plaza enjoy demonstrations, exhibits, marketing & swag. Contests include Looks Most Like Owner, Best Costume, and Best Team Trick, (register your pet for the contests at the Library Plaza beginning at 9:00am). Dogs must be social, friendly and on leash at all times.

April 15 - "Easy Steps to Claim & Optimize Your Google Plus Local Business Profile" Workshop
 Join us for this free "Easy Steps to Claim & Optimize Your Google Plus Local Business Profile" Workshop on Wednesday, April 15 at 8:00am.  Let's put your local business on the Google Map for Local Search. In this workshop, we'll explain how to use the Google Your Business dashboard to claim & optimize your Google Plus Local business profile. If you've claimed a profile on "Google Maps" or "Google Local" in the past, it's time to review & update. Workshop location: Lafayette Library and Learning Center's Arts & Science Classroom, 3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Lafayette (Enter from Plaza, off First Street).

April 17 - The Best of CAIFF - Founder's Night
The films shown this evening are some of the top favorites of CAIFF Founder, Derek Zemrak. The films are chosen from among the 17 years of independent film festivals he has organized. Will it be a feature film tonight, or a collection of shorts, or a documentary or two? Come and be surprised! Third Friday of every month at 7pm at the Rheem Theatre, 350 Park Street, Moraga. $7 admission.


April 18 - Orinda Volunteer Fair

The Orinda Assocation is hold an Orinda Volunteer Fair on Saturday, April 18 from 9am - noon at the Orinda Library Plaza.  Come an connect with non-profit groups and explore volunteer opportunities.  For more information visit www.orindaassociation.org.

April 18 - Orinda Action Day 

The Orinda Community Foundation in partnership with the City of Orinda ask you to lend a hand to beautify our community and accept the challenge to clean up our city on Saturday, April 18 from 9am - noon. April 22 - 5th Annual Earth Day Cleanup at the Lafayette Reservoir
Please save the date for our 5th Annual Earth Day Cleanup at the Lafayette Reservoir.  The cleanup will take place on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22 from 12-2:00 p.m.  As in the past, Byron Park will provide lunch for all volunteers.  Hope you can make it! April 24 - Orinda Trivia Bee
 The Orinda Rotary and Orinda Chamber of Commerce present the Orinda Trivia Bee on Friday, April 24 at the Orinda Masonic Lodge, 9 Altarinda Road, Orinda. Cost is $360 per team (up to 6 people per team) which includes a family style dinner. Doors open at 5pm, dinner at 6pm and the game is on at 7pm sharp. April 25 - Moraga Treeline Triathlon
Lamorinda's only Triathlon brings together serious athletes, families, a few in the over-70's crowd, young children, and business and town staff teams to bike and run in Moraga'a hills, and swim a few laps in Campolindo High School's pool. April 25 - Irrigation Efficiency
The Lafayette Community Garden and Outdoor Learning Center presents a workshop on Irrigation Efficiency on Saturday April 25 from 1:00 to 2:30pm at 3932 Mt Diablo Blvd. Seth Wright, is a Landscape Contractor with 20 years experience in the landscape industry, now specializing in Irrigation Efficiency. In this class he will cover spray to drip conversions, EBMUD and CCWD rebate programs as well as emitter layout and scheduling. He will emphasize landscape and lawn care during the drought but will also address issues of edible gardens. This class is free. Sustainable Lafayette, the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, the Lafayette Library & Learning Center, and the City of Lafayette are proud to present Lafayette's 10th annual Earth Day Festival! On April 26th, 2015 (11am-3pm), the Lafayette Library & Learning Center will host a diverse collection of organizations and businesses, all coming together to celebrate and promote a more sustainable lifestyle.
