Chamber Office Closed on Monday, October 27

The Chamber Office will be closed on Monday, October 27 for Reservoir Run clean-up.  We will reopen on Tuesday, October 28 at 9:00am.
Tuesday, October 28 - Green Committee Meeting - noon

Green LogoGovernor Brown has signed SB270 into law, effective July 1, 2015.  Single use Plastic Bags will be banned in California.  Come to our Green Committee meeting on Tuesday, October 28 at noon and find out about Lafayette's plans to adopt their own ordinance.  If you want to learn how to make your business "greener" you should join us.  We meet in the chamber conference room.  If you are driving, please park on the street.

New Lafayette business and Chamber member 18|8 Fine Men's Salon in Lafayette is having its grand opening on Monday, October 27 at 9:00 a.m.  18|8 is a full service men's salon that provides a variety of services including classic haircuts, shaves, manicures, facials and waxing services. Lafayette Online Transportation Options Survey

We need your input! The City of Lafayette is working with County Connection to investigate different transportation options in the Lamorinda area. Saturday, November 1 - Soroptimist International 24-680 Fundraiser

Pull out your poodle skirts, your leather jackets and Brylcreem, and come out and enjoy singing along (and dancing) to the movie Grease on Saturday, November 1 at the Rheem Theatre while helping support programs for women and girls of Soroptimist International 24-680. Ticket price of $20 includes heavy hors' oeuvres. There will be a no host wine bar and fabulous raffle prizes. Reception at 6:45pm, movie starts at 7:45pm. For ticket sales call 323-1797.

 

Sunday, November 2 - Lafayette Library 5th Anniversary

The Lafayette Library and Learning Center Foundation hosts "A Literary Festival" on Sunday, November 2 from 11am to 3pm in celebration of the Library's 5th year Anniversary. The Literary Festival is a FREE community event featuring guest authors, poets, illustrators, publishers along with Glenn Seaborg Learning Consortium Partners. Friday, November 21 - 36th Annual Community Thanksgiving Breakfast

Join us for our 36th Annual Community Thanksgiving Breakfast on Friday, November 21 - 7:00am-8:30am at Our Saviors Luthern Church on 1035 Carol Lane, Lafayette. The breakfast is catered by Dave's Cuisine (Chef Dave Krider). Music provided by Harpist Wendy Tamis. This year's keynote speaker is M.J. Marggraff - Author, Speaker, Suborbital Spaceflight traveler.
