The Young Professionals Group will meet on Thursday, July 31 at 5:30pm in the Chamber Conference Room. Stephanie Shaterian of fLO Content will be speaking on REEL TALK - A process for Creating Unique, Creative and Compelling Videos. Monday, August 4 - Housing Element presentation to the Planning Commission

City of Lafayette logo The City will be presenting the key concepts of the Housing Element Update to the Planning Commission on Monday, August 4 at 7:00pm in the Community Hall of the Lafayette Library & Learning Center.  The goal of the presentation is to provide the Commission a summary of the community workshops, introduce the key concepts, and provide staff recommendations.  Key concepts include the housing sites inventory, density bonus incentives/concessions, and residential densities in the downtown.

What's Happening at the Lafayette Library & Learning Center

 

July 29 - 5:00pm-6:00pm - Community Hall. Authors and Athletes Family Series Presents:Olympian Heather Petri. Moraga born and raised Petri is one of the most decorated female water polo players in the world! She is one of only two US female water polo players to have competed in four Olympic Games and her teams have medaled each time. In addition to her Olympic medals, Petri has won gold in three Pan American Tournaments and three gold medals at World Championships. She started swimming at age five at Moraga Valley Pool, and did not begin playing water polo until her sophomore year at Miramonte High School when she joined the boys' JV team. A UC Berkeley grad, with a degree in integrative biology, Petri is now an elementary school teacher. She will discuss her Olympic Dream and share her inspirational story. $5 per person at the door. Click here to reserve.
