Dear Parents:
We have a winner! We hope you like our new newsletter title as much as we do! Congratulations to Joey Tokayer (Grade 6) for his newsletter title - The RMS Greatness Gazette - and his artwork (to be featured in future publications.)
Eighth Grade Committees are well on their way, with Rabbi Alber empowering the boys to become leaders within themselves and to take initiative in and out of school to make a difference in their Eighth grade experience. Flower and soup sales are already an active part of their week. Orange Juice of the morning was kicked off this week by our Beis Medrash and S.P.A.R.K. committees. The excitement for the month of November will keep the boys busy with a s.p.a.r.k.ling kick off and our annual Family Game Night fundraiser on November 28th.
This past Tuesday, Rabbi Akiva Grunblatt Shlita, Rosh HaYeshiva of Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim in Queens, NY, addressed our students. Rabbi Grunblatt spoke about the importance of setting goals. He explained that setting goals and working towards them gives so much satisfaction and fulfillment that those that are working towards goals are far happier than those that have nothing to work towards.
Do crickets prefer fresh or dried bananas? This is the question to which each of Mrs. Berio's STEM classes had to discover the answer during a fun and informative science lab. "My hypothesis was correct!" said Boaz Sobol, our eighth grade newsletter correspondent, "crickets like fresh bananas more than dry bananas."
Have a wonderful Shabbos.
