Where did the summer go?  Yes, it's back to school time and the market is the perfect place to shop for goodies to make school lunches, after school snacks, healthy breakfasts and easy weeknight meals.  As the business of the fall approaches we hope the market will enrich your lives with our artfully grown and prepared healthy foods. 

We have a great lineup for this Saturday's market and hope you will join us!  Please take a look at the list of vendors who are coming below so you don't miss anything!

At 10am, we have a special treat for children.  Darby Venema a teacher at Ocean Earth Wind Fire Studio will be back to lead a free kid's yoga session.  Please bring a yoga mat for your child if you have one.  We will have some extras if you don't.


Blanko Dave will play his upbeat music on stage starting at 10am.  Be sure to wish him a happy birthday!

Artisan's Gallery & Cafe
Another great weekend to stop by for a "Cold One". Our cold brewing method is unique since it uses time - rather than heat - to extract flavor from the beans. The coffee is slow-steeped at room temperature to extract the delicious, naturally sweet flavor from the beans.

We'll have lots of veggies fresh from our fields! Lots of tomatoes plus some of the first winter squashes.  Yes, fall is coming!

Cucina Verde will be back with more lacto-fermented tomato salsa- the salsa is delicious on tacos, with chips or by itself!
We will also have more pickled onions, kurry kraut, 3-d kraut, kim chi and curtido!
 
Deep Roots Valley Farm
Come see us this week for our full line up of grass fed beef cuts!  Also lots of whole chickens, chicken cuts.  Our egg supply is picking up but still limited.  Come early for eggs.

Flower & Oats

Flour + Oats Artisan Cookies is back this week with favorite cookie flavors - Sweet Corn, Bittersweet Bliss and Hiker plus lots more.  New flavors include Citrus Brown Butter Shortbread and Espresso Shortbread.  Please stop by for a taste - we'll have our buttery crunchy cookie bark too!  Yum!

The Flour Fairies will have a lovely selection of scones, tarts, Welsh Cookies, and Molly's Irish Soda Bread.


Furnace Creek Farm

Furnace Creek Farm offers medicinal and culinary herbs, as well as skin tonic, infused honey, and tisane made fresh from the farm weekly. We'll have another batch of our borage tisane, which has refreshing cucumber, lemon, and licorice notes, and a new tisane - marshmallow root! Our marshmallow root tisane is earthy, minty, and soothing to the body and soul. We will have three different kinds of infused honey: borage, feverfew, and tulsi. Stop by to say hi and chat about herbs!

Morning Glow Gardens, located in southern Berks County, is thrilled to be bringing specialty cut flowers to the Phoenixville Farmers' Market!  Stop by our stand to check out a colorful array of fragrant blooms, including snapdragons, sunflowers and zinnias.  We nurture a healthy soil and do not use chemical pesticides or herbicides.  This gives our flowers their special glow.

Enjoy back-to-school with some yummy for the lunchbox items this week! Don't miss Pick of the Week Golden Supreme apples (good for the lunchbox, a cheese plate, or just snacking). The first few grapes of the season will make an appearance, and we'll still have peaches and nectarines to keep kids of all ages happy! Veggie selections will include: sweet peppers (you know you can chop and freeze them for winter? No blanching required!), plus tomatoes, leeks, delicata and spaghetti squash, blue and white potatoes (Penn State Pride??), rainbow beets, garlic, and more!
