We have so many great reasons to come to the market this Saturday!

At 9am we will have FREE kids yoga,  What a fun and healthy way to start the weekend.  This is a shine only event, so think SUN!!

Also at 9am, Matilde Heckler, musician and daughter of Dan Heckler of Jacks Farm will perform on stage.  You might recognize her because she sometimes help sell vegetables at his stand.  She truly is a jack of all trades!  Joe Willson will play on stage starting at 10am.

We'll welcome two animal rescues this week.  They do wonderful work to help our furry friends.

The best reason to come to this week's market is all of the great food that we will have!  Peaches and tomatoes are in full season, and you'll find so much good food at the market.  Read the listings below to make sure you don't miss anything!

SPECIAL GUEST:  Happy Tails Rescue
Happy Tails Rescue Showcase returns to the market this Saturday!  The Rescue Showcase will invite different animal rescue groups to showcase their adoptable animals on the first Saturday each month throughout the regular market season.  The showcase was created so animal shelters and animal rescue groups can set up at the Phoenixville Farmers' Market, feature adoptable pets, and spread the word about their organizations and the work they each do.

DogsHome
DogsHome is a new and unique nonprofit rescue. What sets us apart from other rescues and shelters is that when you adopt from us, you get a dog who's already trained in the basic skills, and we give you our support throughout the dog's lifetime. Two weeks, two months, two years down the road ... if there's a problem, we're there to help.

Also, we're tackling the problem of homelessness from both sides: Not only do we rescue dogs from shelters, but we work to prevent them from being left at shelters in the first place, by going into homes and offering training and management strategies and, if necessary, rehoming the dog.  

At DogsHome, we don't care about breed. We don't care about age. We don't care about color or size or physical condition. We go where we're needed.

Forever Home Animal Rescue is a 501-c non profit dedicated to helping any animal in need. Since 2007 we have rescued dogs and cats regardless of age, breed, or size. We are a small foster based rescue that is funded on donations from adoptions and the community. Furnace Creek Farm
Furnace Creek Farm offers medicinal and culinary herbs, as well as skin tonic, infused honey, and tisane made fresh from the farm weekly. We'll have another batch of our borage tisane, and three other flavors - valerian, tulsi basil, and spilanthes! Our valerian tisane is a new brew, which is a relaxing blend of valerian root, tulsi basil, and Chinese mint. Our spilanthes tisane has all the benefits of chewing the flower, without the extreme mouth-numbing effects some of you have experienced. Happy August! This week at market, fruit selections will be a bit light, although we should have plenty of yellow peaches along - and from here on out, all peaches will be freestone! The Pick of the Week this week? Garlic! Weckerly's
This weekend will likely see the return of Peaches to our flavor line-up. Fresh, local peaches are slowly cooked down into peach butter and swirled into sweet cream. If all goes well we'll have some Peaches and Cream ice cream sandwiches as well.
NEXT WEEK
On August 13th, we will celebrate Second Saturday, from 9am to 1pm.  On the second Saturday of each month, we local artists join the market and bring unique, handcrafted items they have made.  It's our way of supporting or vibrant artist community.  Be sure to mark your calendars and join us!
