Don't let a little rain keep you from coming to the market!!

Saturday
  November 7, 2015
9am to 1pm
Hello Market Shoppers!
It looks like we will have perfect weather for Saturday's market!  And we've got lots of reasons for you to come on out to see us.

We will have a special cooking demo  by  chef/owner of Majolica, Andrew Deery  on our stage at 9am.  You'll learn some new ways to use farmers' market ingredients AND, if you pre-register here, you'll be entered in a free raffle to win a $50 Majolica gift certificate.

We are also having a FREE raffle for a farmers' market Thanksgiving basket that will include a turkey plus the ingredients you need for a Thanksgiving meal.  You can enter the raffle one time each week for the next 3 weeks.  Stop by the market table to enter.  We will draw the winner on November 14th, and the winner can pick the basket up on the 21st.

We all know that walking is good for us and at 11 am you can learn more about the health benefits while you walk the Schuylkill River Trail.  The program is called Prescribe-A-Trail and you can read about it here.

As the weather gets cooler, we all reach for those winter coats to bundle up for the market.  Sadly, not all members of our community have jackets to keep themselves warm.  Jenny & Franks Gelato is collecting new and gently used coats plus new scarves, mittens, hats and gloves in support of the non-profit, Feel The Warmth. If you have something to donate, just bring it to their booth. They are accepting donations every Saturday until November 21st.  You can get more details here.

Joe Willson will amaze us with his fingerstyle guitar playing from 10am to 1pm.

We know that parking can get tight in the municipal lot nearest the market and want you to know that there is free parking in the Borough Hall lot at 351 Bridge Street on the side furthest from the market.  It is  very pleasant to walk the short section along the trail to the market from the lot!  There is also 2 hour parking along Main Street, Mill Street and Bridge Street so be sure to check those options out too!

See you at the Market!

Green Street Luxuries
Why is GSL's soap different than others?
There are basically two different types of soap, "Cold Pressed" and "Hot Pressed".  We make "Hot Pressed" which is Glycerin Based, glycerin is a it is a humectant it absorbs and maintains ambient water/moisture to the skin. This means that it can help seal in moisture.  Many "COLD PRESSED" soap makers & manufacturers actually extract glycerin during the soap making process and reserve it for use in more expensive products.

Our soap contains pure vegetable glycerin, organic oils and ingredients for the highest quality moisturizing and healing benefits.  In addition to our soaps healing properties they are also Paraben, SLS & Gluten free with pure environmentally friendly, cruelty free, natural & organic vegetable derived ingredients.   We add healing and moisturizing essential oils to make each soap its scent and healing benefits.  Each one is different long lasting and will delightfully uplift your senses!
Vegan & Vegetarian Friendly too.
