Back to school! 

Yes, as all of the parents and school age children know, summer vacation is coming to an end as the big yellow school buses will hit the road on Monday morning.  Things always seem to get a lot busier at this time of the year, and we have lots of ways to help put easy and healthy meas and lunchboxes together.  What could be easier than a crisp ripe apple, a sweet plum or a juicy nectarine?  Buffalo jerky makes a great protein snack that's super easy to carry.  Hummus and guacamole make perfect after school snacks or additions to sandwiches.  The market will be overflowing with great food and Wild for Salmon will be here with the 2015 catch.

The weather will picture perfect tomorrow, and we will have food trucks and live music by John Costello.

We know that parking can get tight in the municipal lot nearest the market and want you to know that there is free parking in the Borough Hall lot at 351 Bridge Street on the side furthest from the market.  It is  very pleasant to walk the short section along the trail to the market from the lot!

We will have a limited amount of our smoked blue [try it as an intriguing addition to a BLT] as well as our full selection of cheeses: Birchrun Blue, Fat Cat, Red Cat and Equinox. All of these are perfect compliments to the beautiful and bountiful tomatoes and fruit at the market.

Charlestown Farm
Take a look at this beautiful farmers' market galette crafted by a shopper with our sauce, Birchrun Hills Farm's Equinox  Cheese and Oley Valley Mushrooms- yum!  Our sauce makes a fast midweek meal.




Chester County Beekeepers
We will here with a variety of local honeys including dark buckwheat.  Stop by to see us!

Our beef is restocked and we have  huge assortment of steaks for this weekend!  Plus now is a great time to take advantage of our bulk chicken special (30lbs of whole chickens for $100)!
