Chile Spot will have our pepper plants and our great line-up of all natural and gluten free hot sauces, salsa, dried pepper blends and pepper jams. Pick up some of our Moruga Scorpion Cheddar cheese - a very spicy aged cow's milk cheddar. Note, beginning in June we'll be at the market on 2nd & 4th Saturdays.

Deep Roots Valley Farm
We will be restocked on chicken this week!  We will have everything from boneless skinless breasts to stock packs.  Also, this is the season for eggs!  Quiches and stratas are delicious and healthy ways to use some of the eggs, meats and fresh veggies that you pick up at the farmers market!  And don't forget egg salad as a great meal on hot days when you don't feel like turning on the oven.  Here is one of my favorite egg salad recipes....

Mexican Egg Salad - From the kitchen of Deep Roots Valley Farm

Ingredients:
8 hard-boiled eggs, diced
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup mashed avocado or prepared guacamole
¼  cup salsa
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
1/2 a lime, juiced
salt and cayenne pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients, mix well.  Serve on sandwiches, salad greens, or scoop it up with tortilla chips for a quick healthy meal!

Flour & Oats
This week we'll have Fresh Blueberry Crumble Cookies - an oatmeal cookie with fresh blueberries and almond crumb topping!  Also new for this week - Sweet Corn Cookie - a buttery cookie with crisp edges, chewy middle and a mix of salty/sweet and yes corn!  Stop by for a taste!
