Hello Market Shoppers!

 

It looks like we will have rain tomorrow, but you will be able to stay DRY under our beloved bridge!! We will change our setup a little to keep everyone dry, so you may find vendors in different places, but they will be there!  And we have a great lineup this week, including two food trucks,  that will be serving up HOT food! You'll also find all kinds of wonderful food and gifts, including apples from North Star Orchard and local maple syrup from Ridge Valley Farm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Firebird Festival is on Saturday from 3pm to 8pm, and you'll be able to make a Firebird wand, free of charge, courtesy of Artypantz Productions!

 

 

 

 

On stage Joe Willson will perform holiday favorites with an incredible fingerstyle guitar performance!


This week we'll be joined by some great artists - be sure to take a look at their creations.

Don't forget that the Market will be open every Saturday from 10am to noon until the New Year, after which we will have markets on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, January through April.

Providers This Week 

Farmers & Food
 
Now that the weather has certainly changed to winter, we will be bringing all our hot beverages, coffee, tea, hot chocolate & hot cider.    With the holidays coming up, it's a good time to pick up an extra bag of our One Village Coffee beans.  In addition to our "Artisan" blend we will bring an assortment of blends.  12 oz. bag -  $12.75 or 2 bags for $25.00.
  
Backyard Bison
 I'll have have a nice selection of burgers, steaks, roasts, hot dogs, sausage, jerky, etc. Pre-orders are not necessary for most items, but I am taking orders for rib roasts and tenderloins for Christmas.


Birchrun Hills 
Many thanks to all of you who have donated to our Kickstarter Campaign!

Over the past seven years, we've nurtured our cheese making business and have outgrown our current small home for the cheese. SO...we're taking a leap. We're investing everything we have to grow our cheese making business by building a new facility on our farm to make and age more of our beautiful cheese.

Baues' Busy Bees 
Dave will be at the market, he's bring a large variety of holiday candles' 5 different colors of tapers, , snowmen, pillars, angels, Christmas trees, Santa, stars, and lots more.  There should be something for everyone.  They make great teacher's gifts or Pollyanna"s.

He'll also have the usual honey, bee pollen, beeswax creams, lotions and balms

A nice selection of storage vegetables and hoophouse grown greens.

Country Time Farm
We will be  taking orders for Christmas hams and also any special cuts you may want for the holiday.  Try our heat and ribs for an easy and tasty meal.

Cucina Verde
Stop by for some curtido- a delicious Latin American Sauerkraut made with green cabbage, onion, carrot, oregano and a touch of hot pepper. It is delicious served with roasted meats, sausage or rolled in a cheese tortilla!

Also this week: Kurry Kraut- a standard kraut with curry spice. Stir it into your rice, your scrambled eggs or soups.
For Thanksgiving leftovers, there is the cranberry apple relish- delicious on sandwiches
and, to heat things up, the hot sauce is back this week (not many, so stop by early to get it!)

Deep Roots Valley Farm
Christmas is right around the corner!  We will have eggs for holiday baking. 
 
Green Street Luxuries
We are hoping to come with a selection of our soaps and bodycare products.

Heart Food Truck
We were sorry to miss last week- our truck broke down, but it is fixed!!  This week we are featuring  Grilled cheese with mushroom & apple, Short rib Hash, Vegan butternut squash & apple cider soup- perfect foods for a rainy Saturday!

I will have pork, honey, onions, and other fruit and vegetables.

At the market this week: Chocolate Supreme, Sea Salt Caramel, Pumpkin Pie, Eggnog,  Cranberry Vanilla Bean Sorbetto, and White Chocolate Peppermint.  We'll also have a limited number of our new gelato sandwiches.

Remember to pre-order Gelato Pies, Cakes, Sandwiches, and quarts / pans for your holiday celebrations.  Ciao!

 Nomadic Pies
We will have hot, ready-to-eat pies!  Highlights this week are: Chicken pot pie, steak ad mushroom pie, and apple ginger!  You can also take pies home for later and order for the holidays. 

North Star Orchard
After having a nice holiday weekend break from market, we're excited to be returning this weekend and for every market day up to Christmas!

While our supply of veggies is dwindling, you'll still see a few to restock your fridge with like: carrots, kale, arugula, and beans. We'll still have a good supply (shock and awe) of Asian pears; although they may not be around still for next weekend. And we'll have a few apple varieties including Gold Rush, Enterprise, Golden Russet, and Reinette Simerenko.

Over Home Alpacas
Warm up your winter and give the gift of warmth this holiday!!!  Over Home Alpacas operates a family farm (for 6+ generations) raising quality Suri Alpacas for their supremely warm, soft, hypoallergenic and lustrous fiber.  We will have a nice selection of unique alpaca items available including; hand felted scarves, felted soaps, alpaca note cards and photography, hats, scarves, gloves, socks, boot-liners, blankets, throws, rugs, toys & novelties.  We also carry natural and hand dyed Suri alpaca yarn with Suri specific patterns for handcrafters.
  

Tom Longacre 
Tom has been making pots for 20 years. In addition to being beautiful, they are functional stoneware, microwavable, dishwasher safe **There is a possibility that Tom will NOT make it to the market, but he plans to return on December 20th.
 


 

Looking Ahead 

Next Saturday, December 13th, we will are hoping that Santa will come to the market to have his picture taken with your doggie friends!  It's still tentative, but we will confirm on Facebook this week and include info in next week's newsletter.

Of course we will have a wonderful group of vendors on the 13th as well.  Special guests will include Paradocx Vineyard, Forks Farm. Playgrounds for Palestine, Mano's Material Creations & Birdhouses by George.

Our last Holiday Market before Christmas will be on Saturday December 20th, when the Hytha Family will join us to sing holiday songs on stage!

We will have a final holiday market on December 27th so you can stock up on goodies for your New Year's celebration.
