Hello Market Shoppers

Thanksgiving, our national harvest celebration might seem like a logical ending point for a farmers' market, but luckily for us, the market will be open weekly through the end of 2014!  Starting next week, our hours will be shorter, 10am to noon, but you'll still find local veggies, cheeses, meats, baked goods and many local items to make holiday meals and gift giving more meaningful.  We hope you'll bundle up and keep shopping all winter!!!

 

Thanksgiving is about food, family, and bounty- sounds like the farmers' market!  We hope that the good food our farmers grow and our artisans make will enrich your holiday.  How lucky we all are to know our farmers!  And how lucky the farmers are to know that we love their food.  They have chosen to come to us each Saturday not just to sell their products, but to become part of our community.  It is a treasure we can all be thankful for!

 

This Saturday we will have almost EVERYTHING for your holiday weekend!  Candles, wine, chocolate, cheese, vegetables, fruit, apple cider, pies, gelato, cupcakes, the list goes on and on... And you can shop while listening to some superb music by the Blanko Dave!

That super-cold blast earlier in the week pretty much put an end to the outdoor harvest this year. However, our intrepid crew braved the rain and cold to save as much as possible before it was too late. That means we still have a lot for you at market this week!

We'll have plenty of apples and Asian pears, plus a lovely assortment of veggies - it's time to stock up for your Thanksgiving festivities!

Although market season is winding down, your farmers aren't.  We're doing a bunch of cleanup and starting special projects, as well as starting to plan for next year already. One of the things we do at this time is start interviewing prospective helpers for the next year.
