Hello Market Shoppers

Rain, Rain, go away....but if it doesn't, we will be DRY under the bridge and our farmers and food artisans will be happy to see you with smiles on their faces!

We have some great fall foods this week and at 9am, Rachel Stevenson of Reshaping Nutrition will show us how to make a delicious and healthful Figgy Delicata Squash and an arugula salad!  If you sign up here, you can enter a free raffle to win a $10 coupon good towards one of her popular classes.

As we hope you know, later in the day tomorrow, Phoenixville is hosting its Food Truck Festival.  The town will be hopping and we hope you'll get a chance to enjoy it!  If you go, be sure to stop by the Activate Phoenixville Area tent at Bridge and Main to welcome Norm Horn who is walking Coast 2 Coast to raise money for pediatric cancer.  We'll have a donation box at the market table tomorrow. The 100 and 200 blocks of Bridge Street will be closed to traffic, but Main Street will remain open.  You may have to make a little detour, but you'll still be able to come and go from the market!

See you at the Market!

North Star Orchard
The colors of fall are all around us now!

Enjoy this weekend: pink Florina apples (yep, 'the Bubblegum Apple' - that one is crunchy though, so you can't blow bubbles with it!), golden NSO born-and-bred sweet beets, bright orange carrots, purple cauliflower and green Romanesco, golden Hosui Asian pears and Hudson's Golden Gem apples, purple Jupiter grapes, red Royalty apples, and more!

This Saturday's Adventures in Flavor apple-tasting at the farm of dozens of unique and rare varieties will go on despite any wet weather (we'll stay toasty dry in the Star Barn!). However, if the weather is quite bad, we'll have to cancel the Applepalooza part of the day (that's the games and potluck and all). If you're planning to come on out, you are most welcome - just check our website first for updates as to what's in store for the afternoon: northstarorchard.com
