Hello Market Shoppers

It may rain a little tomorrow. but that won't stop our annual Fiber Festival!!  Angel's Wool Farm has been coming to this festival for many years with their adorable angora bunnies.  It is a real treat to watch Cindy spin wool with the wool from the bunny on her lap!

We will have LOTS of yarn and woolen items and we'll also have LIVE alpacas from Over Home Alpacas!  Cooler weather is coming and this is the perfect time to start knitting or picking up a warm hat for the fall.

Many of the yarns that our artisans spin are absolutely stunning with beautiful colors and textures.

Here's a list of the fiber artist who plan to attend:

Angel's Wool Farm
Over Home Alpacas
Little Lost Creek Alpacas
Shirsty Cat DesignsDale Burch, hand spinner
Black Diamond Alpacas

We will also have a GREAT cooking demo at 9am when Sara Glassman of Vine Dining will make delicious collard wraps.  You don't have to sign up, just come ready to learn and eat!!

See you at the Market!

Camphill Village

Kimberton Hills is in full swing, having gone through it's yearly turnover in volunteers again!  There are many new faces to see and say helloo to if you come to eat in our cafe, shop in our craft shop, located in between the weavery and fiber arts rooms in the building called Kepler, or simply want to experience what life is like living in a community .  If you are thinking of stopping by, from Wednesday-Saturday our cafe' is open 10-2, and the craft shop is open on weekdays from 8:30-12, and 2:30- 5.  The holidays are coming, so if you are looking for a handmade item, such as a scarf, hat or child's toy, please stop by to see us!  Most recently, we are thinking of how we can create woven wool blankets to keep ourselves warm in the cold weather....as hard as it is to imagine cold weather and the need to keep warm at this time of the year!  Don Garret, at age 74, is about to w eave this beautiful rainbow colored warp on his  loom.  Stay tuned!

Nutty Novelties
Is your child's school or classroom peanut free? Unfortunately more and more are, as peanut allergies are becoming a growing and dangerous concern. The good news is there are alternatives, and they're right at your fingertips at the phoenixville farmers' market! The other good news is that the main alternative, All-Natural Almond Butter, is a spreadable super-food and better for your child than peanut butter any way! (Also available in Cinnamon and Dark Chocolate for your "kids" ) Oh, and we have Cashew Butter, for you cashew kids out there. Check out the Nutty Novelties booth this Saturday, try some samples and talk to Caleb. He's there every other week.
