Hello Market Shoppers

There may be a few showers tomorrow morning, but we will be DRY under the bridge.  Our farmers and artisans will be out in force rain or shine.  Summer vegetables  are at their peak, the array of colors and shapes at the farm stands is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach!

If you are looking for new ways to cook farmers' market veggies, plan to come at 9 and watch the cooking demo by Sara Glassman of Vine Dining.   If you plan to come, we'd love it if you'd sign up here, but it is not necessary- Everyone is welcome!

This week, the Phoenixville Green Team Garden Group is having a an event called Veggies in the Hood.  It is a free walking tour of vegetable gardens in the borough.  You can pick up a map at the Time Bank stand at the market and walk the tour after you've bought your goodies!

Joe Willson will play on stage from 10am to 1pm, be sure to take a seat and listen for a while- he never ceases to amaze us!

***As many of you may already know, the Phoenixville Borough has changed their parking rules and the new hours require paid parking from 8am to 10pm Monday through Saturday- $.25 for every 15 minutes. We realize that no one likes to pay to park, but the reality is that running a municipality costs money and we appreciate the support the borough gives us.  The meters in the lot nearest the market take quarters.  In an effort to make the change a little easier to swallow, we will have a supply of quarters at our table and can make change for small bills.  There is free parking in the Borough Hall parking lot on Saturdays (Please do not park behind the building as those spots are reserves for official business), and 2-hour free parking on the street.  If you live near enough the market to walk or bike, you've got a new reason to get active and do it!  Last week a family arrived on their bikes and we snapped a shot.

See you at the Market!
