Hello Market Shoppers!

 

We have GREAT food this week at the farmers' market on December 7th!  North Star Orchard will have apples and Asian pears,  and Birchrun Hills Farm will have some very special cheese- it's called Tomme Mole and it is rubbed with cocoa, LaColombe coffee, cayenne and cinnamon.  We'll also have breads, baked goods, cheeses, teas, local vegetables, meats, hummus and so much more great food.

 

On stage a local brass quintet will perform holiday favorites!

 

This week we'll be joined by some great artists - be sure to take a look at their creations.


Don't forget that the Market will be open every Saturday from 10am to noon until the New Year, when we have markets on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays.

Providers This Week 

Farmers & Food
 
Stop in at Artisans Gallery & Café after the market and check out all the new artwork and pottery along with a varity of local retail products including the 2013 Firebird T-Shirt and pick up a copy of "Phoenxiville Rising" written and  authorgraphed by a local author.  Stop by our booth for a sample taste of our cold weather "Veggie Chili" and pick up a container to take home.  For your holiday menu, we are taking orders for our whole quiche pies available for pickup at the Market or at the Café.  Just heat and serve.
  
Backyard Bison
I'll have a great selection of burgers, steaks, roasts, sausages, hot dogs, jerky, etc. with many new items.


Birchrun Hills 
We'll have beef at the market this week! Ground beef, assorted roasts and steaks.

Bringing a new cheese...Tomme Mole. Rubbed with cocoa, LaColombe coffee, cayenne and cinnamon. We'll also round out the cheeseboard with Birchrun Blue, Red Cat, Equinox, and Fat Cat.  Next week, we'll have a bit of our Talula's House Smoked Blue.


Baues' Busy Bees 
Raw wildflower honey in glass or plastic jars; 1 and 2 lb. glass jars and 1, 2 1/2 pound plastic jars and a 121 ounce  bear.

Bee pollen, a high protein  food supplement that can be used as a natural treatment for pollen allergies.
 
We'll have all our creams, lotion and balms along with our honey soap.  All of these make a great gift, either as stocking stuffers or in the large sizes a gifts.
 
100% beeswax candles with cotton wicks, we have a large selection of holiday candles either to give as gifts or for your home.

Bridge Street Chocolates 
No apples this weekend but we'll have our selection of chocolate bars, fudge, sea salt drops, goji berries and toy soldier chocolates figurines. The apples will return next week!  We promise!!!

Charlestown Farm
A nice selection of storage vegetables and hoophouse grown greens.

Country Time Farm
There is still time left to order a Christmas Ham whole or half $5.85 a pound, and all your special cuts of pork.

Deep Roots Valley Farm
Christmas is right around the corner!  We have a limited supply of frozen whole turkeys available ($4/lb)!  Let us know if you would like us to bring one along for you (most are around 20lbs).

Last week we had 30 dozen eggs along and where sold out in less then 5 minutes.  We will have a slightly larger quantity this week but be sure to see us early if you would like some (sorry but we do not take reservations for eggs).

We will have lots of our delicious whole pasture raised chickens along as well as boneless skinless breasts, tenders, whole legs and wings!

Next Saturday, December 14th,  the Hytha Family will rock the market with their incredible music!  Wild for Salmon will make their last appearance before Christmas and we will have lots of artists.

Our last Holiday Market before Christmas will be on Saturday December 21st.
