Hello Market Shoppers!

Bluegrass music, artists, gorgeous fall weather, GREAT local food- so may reasons to come to the market tomorrow! 

Our artists are bringing a great selection of items they have made:
ArtyPantz is back this week with a fresh batch of upcycled sweater scarf and arm warmer (scoodie) sets, plus some fantastic birdie gifts, including "Fly Fresh" birdie air fresheners created with 100% wool felt and stuffed with organic lavender, clip on collage art paper birdies, and birdie stationary. Also new pin cushions, composition book covers and more.

Tom Longacre has been making pots for 20 years. In addition to being beautiful, they are functional stoneware, microwavable, dishwasher safe and oven proof.

Pure Scents Candle Co will have fragrances for the holidays like Cranberry Orange Zest, Harvest, Pumpkin Souffle and your favorites The Elves are Drunk...Again, Festival of Lights and Winter Wonderland in limited supply!

Mano's Material Creations will have wonderful pieces null for your gift giving pleasure or to add to your holiday apparel. Stop by and say "Hi". Make sure you come with your veggie and gift lists, the many local farmers and artisans will help you with your needs.

Yarn- Dale Burch Dale Burch will have beautiful handspun yarn in lovey colors, just in time to knit some items for the cold weather!

George Whittam makes birdhouses perfect for our  feathered friends. 






A few of our regular farmers will not be here this week.  Dan Heckler of Jacks Farm is traveling to Salt Lake City with his daughter who is playing violin with Mark Wood, a founder of the Trans Siberian Orchestra in a benefit concert.  You can ask him about it next week.

The Sunflower Truck Stop is very sorry to miss the market this week, but they WILL BE BACK NEXT SATURDAY!!!

This is the last week to get maple syrup before Thanksgiving.  Be sure to stop by Ridge Valley to pick some up for holiday cooking.

this week's highlights

Artisan's Gallery & Café

This is Phoenixville's Empty Bowls weekend.  If you missed the event on Friday night, stop in at Artisans Gallery & Café over the weekend, November 8th - 10th,  and purchase a cup of soup & bread for $10.00.  All proceeds will benefit the Empty Bowls Fundraiser benefiting PAC.  

 

Artisans' hot cider comes directly from North Star Orchard every Saturday morning.  Steamed just before the market opens, it makes a great fall accompaniment with our hot chocolate, which is made with milk and Ghirardelli chocolate.  Both come in children's 8 oz size or a larger 12 oz size.  

 

 

Baues Busy Bees

We have a nice assortment of holiday candles and candles for the Fall. Are you hosting Thanksgiving? or are you going to someones home? Lovely tapers for the table. Our 100% beeswax 10 inch tapers burn for over 8 hours, please stop and take a look.
Wildflower raw honey in glass or plastic your preference. We have 1 and 2 pound glass jars and 12 ounce bears, 1 and 2 1/2 plastic jars. Along with the raw honey we have bee pollen, a high protein food supplement and a natural way to treat pollen allergies.
Thinking a head for gift giving our Beeswax creams, lotion and balms make a nice gift. How about a bar of Honey soap, very gentle on your skin.

We will be in full supply of our Caramel Apple selection featuring North Star Orchards apples! Bourbon Caramel Pecan and Sea Salt Caramel.  Pumpkin Pie and Sea Salt Caramel Fudge and our sea salt drops as well!

Deep Roots Valley Farm

This will be our first week of frozen chickens, we'll have a nice assortment of sizes along.  We will also have frozen pet items available as well.

We will have cole crops including, cheddar cauliflowe, romanescu, Brussells sprouts, cabbage, and broccoli. We will also have peppers,onions winter squash, pork and honey

Jenny and Frank's Artisan Gelato

The beautiful fall weather is in full swing, and so are we!  This week we, introduce another amazing sorbetto, Cranberry Vanilla Bean Sorbetto, and we bring back another seasonal favorite, White Chocolate Peppermint.  This week's flavors also include Pear Sorbetto with Midori, Pumpkin Pie, Cinnamon Honey (final week!), Sea Salt Caramel, and Chocolate Supreme. Also remember to order your Thanksgiving gelato cakes by Monday, November 11th.

Veggies are winding down a bit, but we'll have a nice fall assortment of kale, spinach, carrots, beets, and kohlrabi. Meanwhile, apples are STILL cranking up! We'll have the first few Gold Rush available for sale by the pound this week! Plus, standout varieties Winecrisp and Stellar are sure to please those who prefer a sweeter apple.

Ridge Valley Farm

We will have all our usual, however we do not have any gallons or 1/2 gallons of grade b. If anyone wants to pre order anything else they can email us by noon on Friday  

 

 

Shellbark Hollow Farm

The crisp fall weather is here and what better way to enjoy an evening around the fire with friends than by adding some Shellbark favorites to your cheese board.  We have a new batch of our creamy Aurora's Cloud and Bloomy Ash; spread some of our Marinated Chèvre on a crispy baguette; and a block of our BEST OF PHILLY winner Sharp 2 for great sharp flavor in a fresh cheese..    

 

Stargazers Winery

This will be our last day at Market.  We will taste Sparkling Traditional, GV, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon.  On the 23rd we will celebrate Dornfelder Day at the winery introducing the first wine of 2013.
