Hello Market Shoppers!

It looks like we will have perfect fall weather for tomorrow's market, and we will have great fall food too!  Pumpkin pie, caramel apples, juicy crisp apples, cider, sausage, roasts, special cheeses, winter squash and much more!  Wild for Salmon will join us with their healthful sockeye salmon from the pristine waters in Alaska.  Market Day Canele will make their monthly appearance with their special pastries from Bordeaux.

What's Fresh? 
this week's highlights

Artisan's Gallery & Café  is proud to offer our signature house coffee "Artisans", roasted locally by One Village; our freshly brewed iced coffee & iced tea,  & Harney Specialty Teas.  We selected One Village as our roaster for our "exclusively blended "Artisans" coffee which is served and sold only at our café.  The folks at One Village believe that "delivering the freshest coffee while maintaining a low carbon footprint is important to us so we limit ourselves to locations within 500 miles from our headquarters".  This week receive 10% off any handmade mug with the purchase of any OV 12 oz. Bag of coffee selling for $12.00.  Tickets are on sale for this year's Empty Bowls, Friday, November 8th at Kimberton Fire House, on PACS website www.pacsphx.org.     

 

Baues' Busy Bees

We'll have raw wildflower honey in 1 and 2 pound glass jars and 12 ounce bears, 1 and 2 1/2 plastic jars.  Bee pollen a natural way to treat pollen allergies and it's a high protein food supplement too!
 
We'll have a Beeswax creams, lotion and balms along with our honey soap.  All of our beeswax products have a natural SPF of 15.
 
We're bring fall and holiday beeswax candles.  These candles make great gifts if you want to shop early for the holidays.    

 

Birchrun Hills Farm

Teaquinox this week! Teaquinox is our Equinox aged for 10 months in honey and tea leaves. We'll also have Birchrun Blue, Fat Cat, Red Cat, Equinox, Honey & Sea Salt, Summer Herb & Garlic on the cheese board.  Veal sausages, chops and roasts too!   

 

Bridge Street Chocolates

We're happy to bring more of our freshly dipped North Star Orchard Caramel Apples! Flavors like Sea Salt Caramel, Bourbon Pecan Cinnamon, and our White Cinnamon Walnut Apples! "The Caramel Apples that adults crave!"

 

 

Deep Roots Valley Farm

It's hard to believe that our fresh chicken season is almost over!  This is the last week to take advantage of our bulk special (30lbs of whole chickens for $100, or 60lbs for $195).  We only have enough to do a few specials so be sure to email us asap (will@deeprootsvalley.com).

Thanksgiving is approaching quickly, be sure to stop by and reserve your turkey by making a $25 deposit.  They will be delivered fresh to the market on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  The hens should weigh roughly 12-16lbs and the toms 18-24, they will be $4/lb.   

 

Ellen April will be at the market this week with a variety of soap including the seasonal favorite, Pumpkin Spice. They'll also have lotion a variety of lotions and rich whipped shea butters to keep your skin soft and smooth now that colder weather is upon us.  

 

Forks Farm is back in action (new engine) and loaded to the gills for P-ville this Saturday.  Lots of organically fed, pastured poultry, 100% grass fed beef, woodlot pork, free range eggs & more local goodies!  

 

 

Hoagland Farms  will have tomatoes, beans, peppers, fall squash, cucumbers, apples, Asian pears,honey and pork.  We will also have cole crops sucn as cauliflower,broccoli,romanesco,and cabbage.  In addition we will have a selection of pumpkins,and decorative gourds.

Wild for Salmon is back at market this week and besides our own wild caught salmon, we'll have black cod and halibut on hand too!  Black cod is a delicate fish that has a rich, buttery texture, in part due to it's high Omega-3 content. Portions come skin on. Halibut is known for its mild flavor and mild texture and  is one of the most versatile fish for cooking. It complements any flavoring and cooks up perfectly whether on the grill or in the oven.
