HomeAid for Africa
Since 2005 local craftswomen have created homemade items and sold them to support programs that provide ass
stance for children and women affected by HIV/AIDS and other serious diseases in Malawi, Southern Africa.  Hand-painted silk scarves and other silk accessories, earrings, note cards made with original photographs,  and fun and cuddly "critters" are among their products.  Your purchase of a lovely gift (or something for yourself!) helps provide access to medical treatment, food, blankets, school uniforms and supplies, and education/training for some of the world's most vulnerable.

It's all about kids and pockets. They do like tucking treasures away for safe keeping. We will have tooth fairy pillows with a pocket for the lost tooth. How about a book pillow to place your current nighttime story in a back pocket, or a place to keep crayons that rolls up to carry along. All of these may be ordered custom with your childs' name and favorite color. See this Saturday. null

Hello Market Shoppers!

We have an incredible market lineup tomorrow! Our artists will be out in force with beautiful and useful handmade items.  Be sure to check them out. It's not too early to get a head start on holiday shopping

Fall fruits will be here in abundance and many of our farmers have great fall items. You can read about them below.  If you are a fan of Naught Nutty Love's nut butters, now is the time to stock up. Sadly for us, but happily for her, Denise, the owner is moving to Florida.  Next Saturday will be her last week at the market.  We will miss her but wish her the best!

Country Time Farm is back this week!  Be sure to ask Ember and Paul about their trip last week.  They drove  to Ohio to pick up some heritage pigs.  ICED by Betsy and FreshaPeel Hummus return this week too!

Christine & Company will perform on stage from 10 to 1, be sure to grab a chair and listen.

See you at the Market!!

Deep Roots Valley Farm

This week our whole legs and wings are on special for $4/lb (normally $5).

We are extremely low on beef and will probably run out of most cuts this week, so be sure to see us early!  It will be about a month until we replenish our freezer.

We are still taking reservations for Thanksgiving Turkeys ($25 deposit required). The turkeys will be $4/lb and will be delivered to the market fresh the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  We are estimating the hens to weigh about 12-16lbs and the toms to weigh 18-24lbs.

We still have enough chickens to offer our bulk special!  Remember our chicken production is seasonal, we won't have fresh chicken in the winter!  We will stock our freezers as much as possible, but likely will run out over the winter.  If you have freezer space be sure to stock up!

Stock your freezer and save!

  • 30lbs of whole chickens for $100
  • 60lbs of whole chickens for $195
  • 90lbs of whole chickens for $290
  • 120lbs of whole chickens for $375

It's time for Fabulous Fall Fruits!

This is a great time of year....when there are still some peaches, but the Hosui Asian pears and apples are starting to roll in big-time. Sometimes, it can be hard to decide which to eat next! You will want to check out this week's awesome apple: Crimson Crisp. It is super-crunchy (like, SUPER), and has a rich sweet-tart flavor (tending more towards the sweet than the tart...). Veggie selections will include some fall favorites like kale, broccoli, carrots, and kohlrabi.
