Reis Renditions
We live in Charlestown Township and are juried in the Chester County Craft Guild (local chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Crafters) in Woodworking, Jewelry, and Basketry.  This includes Nantucket style baskets made of cane and fishing line with handmade bases and handles, necklaces and earrings made of natural wood and rock cut from raw materials, and desk accessories made from multiple types of wood and rock.  The wood and rock are cut and polished to retain their natural beauty, never painted or stained. We also make a patented wood picture frame that makes it so much easier to change the pictures. Most of our inventory is on our web site www.reisrenditions.com

Hello Market Shoppers!

We know that summer is here when Quarryville Orchard returns to the market each year, and this is the week!  Farmer Aaron Esch has been selling his tree fruits and canned goods at the market since we started 12 years ago at the corner of Bridge of Main in 2002.  How time flies!

There are too many reasons to come to the market tomorrow for us to list them in detail here, but here are the highlights.
  • Great music performed by Christine & Co
  • Great summer fruits and vegetables
  • Many unique handmade items made by local artists
  • The best local meats and artisan foods

Be sure to read the news from our producers below to get all of the info

As if this wasn't reason enough to stop by the market, it also happens to be the place where you can get the freshest and most healthful produce.  This week, Jo Robinson, author of Eating on the Wild Side: The Missing Link to Optimum Health, discussed the importance of eating fresh local produce because it starts to lose nutrients  immediately after harvest.  As this newsletter is sent, our farmers are harvesting the produce that will be at market tomorrow.  It doesn't get fresher than that!  You can listen to the interview here.

See you at the Market!!
