At the Market this Week!

*****************************************************

Special Guests:
Ginny couldn't make it for the artist day last week but she will be with us tomorrow with her great aprons, skirts, bags and more.  It will be a special market for her, because her son's band, The Brandywine River Boys, will be performing from 10am to 1!
Playgrounds for Palestine is a 503c non profit featuring fair trade certified organic olive oil from 2013 harvest in Palestine.100% of the proceeds benefits the building of playgrounds in Palestine and neighboring countries that host Palestinian refugee camps. In partnership with Canaan Fair Trade we are featuring 500 ml bottles ($20) and 1 liter tins ($30) of Rumi olive oil and Nabali olive oil. Both are cold pressed and extra virgin. Rumi refers to olive oil harvested from the oldest trees dating back to Roman times and has a strong flavor. Nabali is harvested from younger trees and has a milder flavor. Tasting will be available.

Hello Market Shoppers & Sunshine!

Yes, the sun will be shining on the market tomorrow- hooray!  School is out for the Summer and Father's Day is here, so grilling and picnic season has begun.

This week we will have everything you need for summer celebrations!  Grassfed steaks and burgers, Chester County cheese to melt on top or , strawberries for shortcake, gelato if you are too busy to make dessert.

This week we welcome a special guest, Playgrounds for Palestine a non-profit that works with a group of olive producers in Palestine to make and bottle extra-virgin olive oil.  All of the profits help build playgrounds in Palestine for the children there.  Every child deserves a chance to play and you can help support their efforts while enjoying the delicious flavor of their healthful olive oil.

This is the LAST time that WILD for Salmon will be at the market until August.  They are headed back up to the icy waters to catch the 2013 harvest.  Be sure to stock up!
