Hello Market Shoppers!

Tomorrow is the day we have been waiting for- OPENING DAY for the market season!  The Market will be open EVERY SATURDAY from 9am to 1pm!

No matter what your plans are for tomorrow, we hope you will come see our NEW and IMPROVED site! Harkins Builders built a performance stage, and installed new paths and rubber mulch in our seating area.  It is a sight to behold!

Joe Willson will christen our new stage with his incredible fingerstyle guitar playing from 10am to 1pm.

Many of our farmers and artisans have been waiting for opening day- they have new products, new banners, new canopies and can't wait to see all of you.  You'll be able to pick up fresh veggies, lovely hanging baskets, bedding and herb plants, cheeses, meats, the first pasture raised chicken of the season and much more, including some early Mothers' Day gifts.

You'll be able to carry all of your goodies in our
NEW MARKET BAGS!  True to our commitment to sustainability, they are made in the USA from recycled cotton.  Now you can carry your farmers' market with you wherever you go!  The bags will be available for sale at the market table near the children's area.  The price is $12 for one, or two for $20. This project was made possible with support from PAEDCO- thank you!

We've listed some of the highlights in the section below- be sure to take a look.

See you at the Market!!!

Looking Ahead

Saturday, May 11th is Second Saturday and we will have LOTS of artists with locally handmade items that are perfect for Mother's Day gifts.

The Hytha Family will wow us with their music.  It seemed very fitting to have a Mother-Daughter band play on Mother's Day weekend.  Of course, the band includes the whole family and they are FANTASTIC.

The following farmers will start coming weekly beginning next week:

Country Time Farm
Hoagland Farms
Peach Bottom Farm

We will also be joined by:
Stargazers Vineyard
Ridge Valley Farm
Forks Farm
Green Pad Living
Marci's Morsels

North Star Orchard plans to join us soon.  We'll let you know as soon as they have enough vegetables.  The cold spring slowed a lot of crops down which is why Hoagland  and Peach Bottom farms need another week for their vegetables to be ready to harvest.  All good and delicious thinks come to those who wait- but it is so hard!

Happy Cooking and Eating!
