It is almost certainly going to RAIN on Saturday, but we will be DRY under the bridge!!  Bring your umbrella for the parking lot and then shop in comfort.  It may not be warm, but it is still winter, and spring is just around the corner. And of course we will have HOT food, HOT coffee, HOT tea and HOT soup- yum!

Absolutely WILD caught salmon!



We will have a LOT of great food on Saturday.  Wild for Salmon will bring the salmon that they caught in Alaska during the summer and shipped back to Pennsylvania. We are very lucky to know our fishermen.  An article about fish in the New York Times revealed that two thirds of salmon sold as wild caught is actually farm raised.

Farm. Barb is moving to Florida and we wish her the very best.  She has enriched our market with her great food and ever-present smile since 2005- she is part of our market family.  Be sure to send her your regards on Saturday.

Kelly and Will Smith of Deeproots Valley Farm will be following in Barb's footsteps and will join us at our next winter market.  Kelly is a fifth generation farmer on her family farm- we'll tell you more about them in the next newsletter.

Ridge Valley Farm will be her with there PA Maple Syrup.  They have something new this week- Maple Cotton Candy!

We all set up in the upper portion under the bridge and make a cozy circle of incredibly delicious food.  Chances are that you will have a chance to chat with a neighbor or old friend, and you might even make some new acquaintances!

Wild for Salmon is a local business that provides fresh/frozen wild Alaskan sockeye salmon at a common good price. Wild for Salmon is owned and operated by Steve and Jenn Kurian of Bloomsburg, PA.

The salmon is caught by Jen and Steve in Bristol Bay, Alaska, during the months of June and July and brought home to be sold at farm markets, restaurants and health-food stores.
