Hello Market Shoppers!

We are looking forward to our special holiday market tomorrow morning.  If you've run out of your favorite market goodies, you will have a chance to restock- what a great way to ring in 2013!

Oley Valley has a great selection of mushrooms, Birchrun Hills just picked up a fresh batch of their veal sticks back from the butcher, and Saint Peters Bakery will have a selection of freshly baked breads and pastries- not to mention soups that you can enjoy at home.  Don't let the cold weather keep you away- you can get a hot sandwich from the Sunflower Truck Stop!  We have listed of all of the producers who are coming in the body of the newsletter below.

The weather may be snowy, but many of our farmers are planning  to come- SNOW OR SHINE!!  We will update our website (www.phoenixvillefarmersmarket.org) and our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Phoenixville-Farmers-Market/212007240376)from the market with any changes due to the weather.
We will all set up under the upper part of the market where we will be protected from any precipitation.

We hope to see you at the Market!!

 Market Day Canele
Gil Ortale

Market Day Canele came out of the oven after dozens of experiments that focused on fresh, delicious, classical canele.  We learned that canele baking relies as much on technique as on a recipe.

Perseverance paid off. Buckets of tears later we had a breakthrough! With confidence enough to offer our canele at market we began to bake for Sunday Market at HeadHouse Shambles in Philadelphia.   We are thrilled to come to Phoenixville for the 2012 season!
