Phoenix Rising has been recognized as one of the top 50 youth arts programs in the country!
For the third time, Art from Ashes has been recognized as a leader in youth arts programs by the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities through the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award.
Spring is here, and so are new beginnings. We've launched Drawing on Air, our youth empowerment through visual art program, are offering a summer day camp for littles and pre-teens, are introducing a new Director of Operations, are saying goodbye to a wonderful staff member, and are excited to promote our long-time volunteer, program manager and Drawing on Air facilitator to Director of Programs.
Not only are we going to have beer, listen to music and poetry, and have a kick-ass time at Poetry & Pints on June 8th, but we have Yoga & Poetry on June 26th, and also...the Rockies games are back! Two dates this year: July 23 for Star Wars and Sept 25 for Fireworks!
Our new youth empowerment program using visual and tactile art is up and running! We piloted the program at New America School and it's now running at Denver Online High School and our Wednesday Drop-In Workshops. Courtney Chandler, Director of Programs, shares more here.
