Teen Leadership
Duct Tape for Charity
Teen Leadership Fundraiser
Teen Leadership is hosting a fundraiser this week (April 4th thru the 8th) to support the charity Emily's Smile Boxes. The charity was actually founded by a former Medlin Mustang! The organization donates boxes full of activities and toys to children and their siblings who are in pediatric hospitals. So far, her charity has raised over $111,000 and donated more than 12,000 boxes to sick children and their families. We need your help to raise donations for Emily's Smile Boxes! This week we need everyone to bring donations of coloring books, activity books, stickers, stress balls, puzzles, stuffed animals, car games, and crayons during lunches. Last week, the students voted for their favorite teacher from their grade and the top 3 teachers will represent the 3 grade levels. The grade level that brings the most donations will be the grade that gets to see their teacher duct taped to a wall during their lunch Friday! We need your help to make this happen, and we appreciate any donations, big or small! Thank you so much in advance for your support of our kids' hard work in putting this together!

From Nurse Cote:
6th grade Parents:
All students entering 7th grade next year will need to provide updated shot records with documentation for Tdap (Tetanus booster) and Meningococcal vaccines.  This documentation is required prior to the start of the 2016-17 school year.

THANK YOU to those of you that have already sent in updated shot records!

Sports physicals
Tickets for Sports physicals will be sold during lunches at Medlin on April 12th. In order to purchase a ticket all online paperwork must be completed and a completed medical history form must be turned in. Sports Physicals for 2016/17 will take place on April 14 at Byron Nelson from 3pm-6pm. ALL student athletes must have an up to date physical to participate in sports.

Student Device Parent Survey
Northwest ISD strives for all students to be Future Ready; ready for college, ready for the global workplace, ready for personal success. The District understands that in order to design dynamic learning experiences, future ready students need access to a device that meets their needs. As we rapidly approach an updated refresh cycle, we
are
collecting feedback from students, teachers, parents and administrators. We are exploring a variety of devices aligned with our district goals and instructional needs.

We value the role that our parents play in the learning environment and appreciate your feedback and input as we move forward with selecting a student device. Please complete this survey to provide your insight: tinyurl.com/NISDdevicesurvey
